Mpeg Streamclip For Windows 7

Hello,
I downloaded MPEG Streamclip v1.9
I then bought and downloaded QT MPEG2 Playback Component for Intel Based Mac.
I have dubbed a vhs tape onto a DVD+R disk with a Panasonic DVD Recorder and finalized the DVD.
I insert the DVD in my Macbook Pro and select the Video_TS folder and within this folder, select the file named 'VTS 011.vob.
This file will NOT open in MPEG Streamclip OR Quick Time Pro.
It WILL however open on my PC Laptop in Windows Media Player.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I bought the Panasonic DVD recorder just to dub old VHS tapes and then be able to use those dubbed DVD's on my Macbook later in iMovie 6HD or possibly download iMovie 8.

MPEG Streamclip is getting a little old now (this is a 2008 release), and its interface is basic, but the program still has a lot of useful features. Worth a look for more experienced users if more recent tools don't deliver the power you need.
