Seats belts were dealer fit in 1963, but seat belt mounting points were installed during manufacturer of the body shell. In 1963 these mounting points consisted of two studs placed on the rear wheel arch, which required a “Y” shaped seat belt bracket.

Mgb Seat Belt Replacement
The correct overdrive switch for the early MGB is a simple Lucas toggle switch, identical to the ones used for the heater fan.
The boot of an early MGB contained a felt pad that was secured by a strap, which is used to secure the pack away hood in the boot. It is easy to see if an early MGB has this as there will be two holes drilled in the boot floor, which are used to mount the strap.

The battery cover is a single piece of carpet that fits snugly around the contours of the body work. It is stiffened in the forming process so that it easily lifts in and out, and does not lose its shape. Most, if not all of these originally supplied covers have disappeared, and have been replaced with a piece of carpet that just lays over the contours of the rear body work.
