I hate the garish Luna theme that Windows XP uses as standard so when the Energy Blue theme was released as part of the Experience Pack for the Tablet PC I jumped on it right away. I love the Energy Blue theme, it looks elegant and stylish and well, fitting for a Tablet PC. This Windows Classic theme was removed from Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 for normal use (but still exists in the kernel). Royale (also known as Media Center style and Energy Blue) was originally designed for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, and was ported to Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. It is accompanied by a new wallpaper (inspired by Windows XP Bliss). This guide is part of the Windows Desktop Theme Customization Series. Availability
The Energy Blue theme was made originally available in December2004 and is available for everyone. It is possible to install it onnon-Media Center Editions of Windows XP by manually expanding theinstallation cabinet file. In 2005 the download was made only available for Windows Genuine Advantageusers. Due to the freewarenature of this package it is being delivered on popular downloadwebsites already hacked, such as Softpedia. However, onApril 7 2005, Microsoft New Zealand made the visual style availableto the general public from this page, along withsome other related resources. (It now appears to be removed fromthe list of available items to download, at least for some users.)The theme Royale, which is designed for Windows XP, is verysimilar; the shell-style is slightly different. The wallpapers forthe New Zealand theme are available for download through WindowsGenuine Advantage on the Microsoftwebsite.
All Energy Blue resources were incorporated in Windows MediaCenter 2005 edition. Due to the introduction of the Aero interface designin WindowsVista, it is unlikely that this theme will be incorporated infuture Windows versions.
Appearance
Also known as Royale or MediaCenter style, the new theme is a redesign of the originalLuna with the brilliant and relucent concept. It featuresa mix of dark blue colors combined with the new wallpaper.

Microsoft released a Windows Media Playervisualization andskin. The visualization is available for free at WMPlugins.com and isspecifically for version 10.0. The skin was released inExperience Pack for Tablet PC and is available for free but has aclosed-install for Windows XPTablet PC Edition devices. It is also possible to hack the cabinets and get it runningfor Windows XP.
The skins, like all msstyles skins, use CSS for layout.
Royale Noir / Zunetheme
The Royale Noir and Royale Zune themes are two similar themes byMicrosoft that appear to be based on the Energy Blue theme.
Both look like darkened versions of Energy Blue. The Zune themewas the first to include a different color start button other thanthe green XP one or the original grey one from the Classic theme. As Royale Noir was leaked (as it is noted for someimperfections[1]) andwas not finalized by Microsoft a few weeks later it was officiallyreleased as a new desktop theme to accompany the release of its newZune media player. Royale Noir wasfinished by a 3rd-party individual. Instead of having a blackishand bluish to purple tint, Royale Zune displayed a brown to lightshadow style. Each theme has a slightly different colour scheme. For example, Noir has a black start button, which changes to greenwhen the mouse hovers over it, and Zune has an orange startbutton.
It is not known whether or not Royale Noir was a beta for RoyaleZune. However, this is most likely not the case, since it can besaid that Luna isthe inspiration (beta-like) for Royale/ Energy Blue.
The initial release of the Zune theme had a problem with fileallocation in its shell theme which resulted in a false colouringin the task pane on the left hand side of WindowsExplorer. Royale Noir doesn't suffer from this problem. Thisissue has apparently been resolved in later distributions of thetheme.

Xp Theme For Windows 10
What most of us are aware of are the Windows Classic Style theme and Windows XP Style theme. The title bar, borders and taskbar in the Windows XP Style color scheme are blue, olive green or silver, and cannot be changed to another color at all. Only in classic (advanced) mode do we see any other color applied to the title bar, border and taskbar.
However, there are other themes out there that can change the Windows XP Style color scheme to black, red and even yellow or pink, among others. Word has it that Microsoft produced themes such as Royale (which include Royale or Energy Blue), Royale Noir (where even the Start button is black), Zune and one called Windows Embedded (where everything including the Start button is blue).
I am quite aware of the exotic themes that are presented by software like WindowBlinds, but I am not interested (yet) in radically changing my WinXP desktop to that much of a degree. I'm only interested in adding more colors to the official WinXP color scheme, beyond blue, olive green and silver. Where can I find them, especially the official WinXP color schemes that were never included in WinXP Professional, and how would I install them?
